Yeah! I am so excited. A couple of weeks ago, before I went on the Rotary Weekend in Naramata, I found out where I am going!! Well..... I am going to Bharuch Gujarat!! I even know who my first host family is, my school, and counselor!! At the weekend in Naramata I learned so much, and I am hoping that once I arrive I can be very open and understanding to the new culture I will be tossed into! some of the recent highlights are that I was able to chat with the inbound from India Pankti, and she was so nice and helpful!! We had a lot of fun together, and I can't wait to see her again.
Here in Wenatchee I am just counting down the days till I leave, which is around the last week in June or the first week of July. Everyone else doen't leave till August! One thing I am goint to miss is the distinct four seasons of the Wenatchee Valley. Right now it is just gorgeous! Everything is so green, and the hills are covered in wildflowers, like lupine, sunflowers, and flocks! The river is a richer blue than normal, and if you look up to the moutains, the snow is still left in all it's magnificance! Not only are the hills teeming with flowers, but all of the orchards are white and pink with fruit blossoms! The smells of all the flowers of lilacs, flowing almonds, dogwoods, and other flowering trees fill the air, and turn it into heaven in a nostril!!
I love this time of year! It is hard to imagine that around this time of year next time I won't be far off from the end of my grand adventure in India!!
